Chelsea JV Girls Soccer Shuts Out Jackson 4-0

Jackson, MI. – Over the course of the past few days of torrential rains, the Chelsea Bulldogs were still able to play their soccer game on Wednesday afternoon at Mehall Field, and the weather during the game was perfect. No rain, and the field was in great shape.

Chelsea started the game first with possession of the ball, and both teams played very challenging. There were very few shots on goal in the first half, and both teams went into halftime tied at zero.

At about the 9-minute mark of the second half, Mila Provenzola was able to get a shot past the goalkeeper to give the Bulldogs a 1-0 lead. 2 and a half minutes later, Junior Julianne Sounart gave the Bulldogs a big 2-0 lead. The pressure on the Vikings goalkeeper was on as the Bulldogs made great halftime adjustments.

With less than a minute to go, Provenzola would score again, and with time running out, Sounart added the final goal of the night to give the Bulldogs a huge 4-0 victory. The Chelsea goalkeeper Brooklyn Hollis was not tested much, but when she was, she came up big. The Bulldogs are 3-1 on the season and will host Parma Western High School Saturday, the 18th, at 10:30 in the morning.
