Chelsea Junior Varsity Girls Basketball Falls To Jackson

Jackson, MI. – It was a rough night for the Chelsea Bulldogs Junior Varsity Girls Basketball team as they were handily defeated by the host Jackson Vikings Friday evening, 42-14.

The Vikings started fast and scored the first 12 points of the game before the Bulldogs got on the board. It would be the only points of the first quarter for the Bulldogs. Jackson played a very tough defensive style, holding the Bulldogs to a 25-5 deficit at the half.

The Bulldogs were able to double their first-half score in the third, but Jackson dominated throughout the whole game and finished with a huge victory. Lydia Oliver led the Vikings with 14 points, while Paayton Robinson & Chrisette Taylor had 6 points each.

The bulldogs were led in scoring by Alba Syrovy with 5 points, Kathryn Dunn with 4, Elise Seyfreth with 3 points, and Emma Snyder with 2. The Bulldogs will head to Lansing Eastern for a 5:30 tip-off on Tuesday, the 20th.
