BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Indiana freshman Jasmine Reyes tossed the 32nd no-hitter in Indiana softball history to kick off the day at the Hoosier Classic on Andy Mohr Field, as the Indiana softball program collected two wins on the afternoon.
Indiana (13-5) posted two run-rule victories as it defeated IU Indy (4-14), 14-0, in five innings before taking an 11-3 walk-off win over Bowling Green (4-14) in six innings.
In game one, Reyes’ five-inning no-hitter marked the third-straight season that an Indiana pitcher held an opponent hitless, with Sophie Kleiman (Central Michigan, 2024) and Brianna Copeland (Prairie View A&M, 2023) each accomplishing the feat.
She is the sixth freshman to throw a no-hitter in IU history and the first since Emily Goddin in 2017. Others include Roxie Rafik (1986), Teresa Raine (1987), Sara Olson (2009) and Tara Trainer (2016).
In game two, Brianna Copeland fanned nine-straight batters in the start and the Indiana offense piled on six runs in the third inning to help produce a second-straight run-rule win and move Indiana to 8-0 on the season when reaching double-digit runs.
