Ypsilanti, MI. – The Arbor Prep Girls Basketball increased their win total on the season to 12 after a massive victory over the visiting Parma Western Panthers. The Gators avenged themselves after losing last year’s matchup by 1 point, one of only two losses in their championship season.
The Gators started really strong taking a big lead early on but the Panthers battled back and tied up the game. But after a few time-outs and some good strategy from Head Coach Scott Stine the Gators cracked down hard and forced many turnovers and the Gators doubled the score on the Panthers and never looked back cruising to a great victory.
The Gators were led in scoring by Stacy Utomi with 18 points and 6 rebounds, Taylor Wallace with 17 points, Kayla Covington with 15 points and 13 rebounds, Eliza Bush with 8 points and 4 assists, and Tyra Wright with 5 points.
The Panthers were led by Aubree Allen with 11 points and Bayli Stewart with 9 points.
