Indiana Hoosier’s Softball Avery Parker Earns All-Star Honors as Canada Cup Champion

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. –––– Indiana Softball’s Avery Parker returns home a Canada Cup Champion after competing with the Triple Crown (TC) Colorado College All-Star Team.

From June 30 to July 13, Parker competed with TC Colorado and excelled in two highly competitive tournaments. Before the Canada Cup, Parker and TC Colorado battled in the TC Colorado Pro Cup (June 30-July 3) against three professional teams, the New York Rise, OKC Spark, and Florida Vibe.

TC Colorado reached the final game before falling to the OKC Spark.

After the Pro Cup, Parker and TC Colorado traveled to British Columbia, Canada, to compete in the Canada Cup (July 5-13).

Parker and TC Colorado faced off against Team Canada for the Canada Cup championship, which TC Colorado won.

En route to the title, Parker earned All-Star recognition as the Most Outstanding Catcher of the tournament.

Parker, going into her junior season, is a catcher and was on the NFCA All-Region Second Team in her sophomore year. She was also an Academic Big Ten. She started all 60 games at catcher for the Hoosiers and hit .313 from the plate with 56 hits, 11 doubles, 13 home runs, and 44 RBI, and she scored 34 runs and stole six bases on nine attempts. She is majoring in Psychology and is the daughter of Todd and Carson Parker.
