Ohio State Women’s Basketball Celebrate Senior Night

Columbus, Ohio – The Ohio State Buckeyes finished out its regular season Sunday, March 3rd hosting Rutgers but before the tip-off, the Buckeyes honored the 6 seniors on their great team.

Each senior player was honored in front of the huge loyal crowd at halfcourt surrounded by their families and was presented with a scarlet jersey with their name and number on it in a case. The seniors honored were Karlie Cronin, Carmen Grande, Adreana Miller, Najah Queenland, Carly Santoro, and Makayla Waterman.

Karlie Cronin is a guard from Virginia and joined the Buckeyes in the 2016/17 season. Sadly, she has missed her entire senior season due to a torn ACL. Her parents are James and Teresa Cronin

Carmen Grande is a graduate from Ball State and came to the Buckeyes this season. She is from Madrid, Spain. Grande is tied for 2nd in the Big Ten at 5.0 assists per game. She achieved her 1,000th career point on Feb. 21, and became just the 31st player in NCAA history with more than 1,000 points and 800 assists in a career. She is also the NCAA active assist leader for men or women with 829.

Adreana Miller is a graduate who came to the Buckeyes this season from LaSalle and is from Somerset, New Jersey.

Najah Queenland is a graduate from Sacramento, California. She came to the Buckeyes this season from Pacific.

Carly Santoro came to the Buckeyes from Bowling Green University and is from Bellevue, Ohio. She is second on the team in scoring with 11.5 points per game and leads the team with 39 3 point shots made.

Makayla Waterman came to the Buckeyes in 2014 from Kettering, Ohio. In her first practice, she suffered a torn ACL and missed her entire freshman season. She redshirted and came back strong and helped her team win the Big Ten Conference last season.

The Buckeyes, a number 5 seed and 14-13 overall, 10-8 in the Big Ten, will be playing Thursday in the Big Ten tournament in Indianapolis, Indiana and will be hosting Wisconsin in second round play. Tip-off is set for 2:30 P.M. and will be televised on the Big Ten Network.
