Ohio State Hockey Celebrates Big Ten Championship On Senior Night

Columbus, Ohio – On Saturday, the 2nd of March, the Buckeyes hockey team honored their seniors and parents before the game against the Michigan State Spartans. The players skated up to their respective families as they were honored in front of another large home crowd. The Players honored were Freddy Gerard, Captain Mason Jobst, Brendon Kearney,
Captain Sasha Larocque, Tommy Parran, Sean Romeo, and
John Wiitala.

These young men are some of the best Ohio State has ever put on the ice. They have helped lead the Buckeyes to their first Big Ten championship ever and to the frozen four last year. But the Buckeyes aren’t done yet, the regular season may be over but the Big Ten Tournament will be taking place this weekend but the Buckeyes earned the bye so they will be taking on the lowest seed on Sunday, March 17th at 3:30 P.M. The championship game will take place the following weekend.

At the end of the game against the Spartans, the Buckeyes gathered in front of the student section, known as the Knucklebucks, and watched the beautiful gray and scarlet Big Ten Championship banner raise to the rafters behind them as they posed for photos.
